How a session runs

Four steps, one morning.

You apply

Tell us who you are, where you are and roughly how many animals are in your care. Two minutes.

We match a sponsor

We pair your region with a brand or business willing to fund it, then agree a date with you. This is the step that takes time — we'll keep you posted either way.

We shoot

We arrive with the studio, set up in a quiet corner and work at the animals' pace. Your staff bring them in one at a time. Nothing is rushed.

You post at noon

Edited gallery in your inbox the next day at noon, sized for every platform you use. Post it while the feeds are hot.

What we need from you

Honestly, very little.

  • A room. Any indoor space roughly ten feet square with a power outlet. A meeting room, an intake room, a garage.
  • Someone who knows the animals. One staffer or volunteer to bring them in and out. They know who's nervous and who's a clown — that's worth more than any equipment we bring.
  • A realistic list. Who's adoptable, who's about to be, and anyone you're struggling to move.
  • Permission to use a few frames in our own portfolio and for our sponsor. Everything else is exclusively yours.

Straight answers

The questions rescues
actually ask.

Is it really free? Yes. Sponsors fund sessions. You will never receive an invoice and we will never ask you to fundraise for us.

What's the catch? The honest one: applying doesn't guarantee a session. We can only shoot where we've found a sponsor, so it depends on your region. We'd rather say that than string you along.

How many animals can you do in a day? Typically 15–25, depending on how they handle the room. We'd rather do twenty well than forty badly.

Our animals are reactive or under-socialised. That's normal and it's fine. Twenty years of reading dogs goes into this — we work at their pace, and if an animal says no, we stop.

Can you shoot cats, rabbits, others? Yes. Dogs are the bulk of it, but every species in your care gets the same treatment.

We're tiny / foster-based with no building. Still apply. We'll work out a location.
